Organizer

Simone Cooper was also the founder and organizer of AmberCon UK, the first Amber Diceless Role Playing Game convention to take place outside of the US, and in fact outside of Detroit, the game's birthplace.

After running the convention successfully for four years, Simone moved to Portland, Oregon in 1996, where she discovered McMenamins Edgefield, an AmberCon waiting to happen.

Game Book Goddess

As a child Amber Cook looked up and saw the Zelazny books on her grandparent's bookshelf. Her father noticed and laughed, and said she was named after them. She couldn't wait to get old enough to read them. This was all fine until one day during her freshman year at college she decided to reread 'Nine Princes' and happened to actually look at the publication date - which was two years after she was born. Very funny, Dad.

Amber 'wrastles' with the Game Schedule, and it usually wins.

Travel Swami

Irene has attended every ACNW since the second, making her one of the new kids on the block. She's been addicted to Amber since 1980, when she spent six months in Germany with no English-language books except the Corwin Chronicles to read. She has since expanded her library to include everything Roger wrote, including books published up to five years after his death.

She moved to Portland to have access to green plants and good gamers, and has been delighted to find a plethora of both.

After a normal childhood, Lar became an artist. While other artists might have muses that look like Grecian oracles, his seems to wear three fingered gloves and speaks in a shout.

Lar works as a freelance illustrator in the frozen north, colloquially known as Canada. He is known in the sf community for his many toons and the occasional scary clown painting. He is also not one to turn down a chance to draw sword wielding rabbits!

Comfortable in both the digital realms or swinging a traditional brush, Lar is pleased to be a part of AmberCon.
